As the United Kingdom arm of our Affinity Task Force, Tax Innovations is a vital component to our international tax services as regards clients interacting between the United Kingdom and the United States.

Mr. Turpin joined Tax Innovations in 2012, from Ernst and Young, to assist Nick Day in developing the Personal and Expatriate Tax businesses. Mr Turpin has 15 years of experience as a tax consultant advising on personal, employer and expatriate tax issues. Mr Turpin specializes in UK tax planning and compliance for non-domiciled individuals based in the UK, and for UK nationals working overseas. This work dovetails effectively with the wider services provided by Tax Innovations' business accounting and corporate tax advisory teams.

Mr Turpin started working for HM Revenue & Customs as a tax officer in 1996 before moving to PricewaterhouseCoopers (then Price Waterhouse) in 1997 where he gained the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) tax qualification. Mr Turpin was involved in running and coordinating a mixture of large multi-national expatriate programs for the firm, such as Du Pont, Zurich Insurance and IBM. Mr Turpin left PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2003 taking a break from tax, before joining Ernst & Young in 2005 where he gained the Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) UK tax qualification. Whilst at Ernst & Young, amongst other engagements, Mr Turpin worked on IBM and GSK.

Since joining Tax Innovations Mr Turpin has helped Nick Day continue to build its personal/expatriate businesses. Mr Turpin has particularly enjoyed the exposure to different aspects of taxation that joining Tax Joining Innovations has given him.
